Waterfront

Everyone thinks our gorgeous waterfront is a gem and one of our strongest facility assets.

The Kingswood waterfront is heavily supervised at all times. Campers and staff are not permitted in the water or on the docks unless a certified lifeguard is present. Our main waterfront area consists of enclosed docks with an inner and outer crib, as well as a wading area on shore. There is a floating slide raft and a dive tower. A “Buddy check” system is in place for afternoon swimming and boating. A staff member attends to the “Buddy board” to sign campers in and out. Inner tubes are available for lounging in the inner crib, or a basketball net is set up for some action. Water polo is another option seen during an afternoon block on the waterfront. A separate fishing dock extends from the stairs of the south end of the main lodge for clinics in the morning and afternoon fishing.

Kingswood owns over fifty boats. No waiting in line at Kingswood! A spacious boating beach exists for rigging sailboats and launching kayaks, windsurfs, paddle boards, row boats, or crew shells. Twelve canoes are tethered between the fishing dock and swimming docks. Two powerboats are moored on the outer edge of the swimming docks.
