Well, it is a lousy weather day here at camp; Yeah, well, it’s a lousy day altogether here at camp because so many of you are not present. Rain or shine, it would be far more fun to have you running about the property with that carefree attitude we are so used to seeing. Anyway, here are some photos I just took. They are minutes old if you open up the link as soon as it arrives in your box.
The grounds are quite plush, really, despite it being very dry the past week or so.
Most assuredly a sign of the times. “Sand Hanitize,” boys
The lonely council circle with no boys on the benches, or jumping from bench to bench, which is against the rules!
It poured buckets both overnight and early this morning.
Spanky’s effort to limit erosion issues on the beach worked pretty well in some places …
and not so well in others. (He has a plan.)
And, while we were busy all morning cleaning up the mess…
our flags were still there.
The gardens loved it…
and I think this alligator was the right ornament to place in an open garden space.
No question but that the new docks can endure much more interruptions than the old ones…
and those ramps will eliminate all danger of slippery rock approaches to the water.
A deserted Pines Field is not what we would have expected for a June 29th…
and, ditto for no hoops. We have purchased new backboards but there is no sense in putting them up any time soon.
No sports today…
despite the heavy rains we are having as I type these words.
Look closely, though and there are signs of life. Note the line where Sam and Oliver last left off on power-washing the tennis courts.
Somebody has tossed a fishing line…
and perhaps thrown a frisbee.
And while these birds are plotting more cheap bits to send along to the Kingswood community…
you can rest assured that Liam is taking notes.
