Director’s Report

4th of July Extravaganza

I can hear the building volume of enthusiasm for July 4th outside my window.  We’ll try to post photos of the morning activities of our Kingswood celebrations.  We’ll takes plenty to make up for the relative scarcity of yesterday.

Sara did get out to the Senior intramural basketball tournament.  Check her album as you read these words.  Everyone enjoys this “extravaganza” of its own sort.  Games go really fast and there are a lot of them, most hilariously narrated by the uncontestable Klaus.

Speaking of “Everyone enjoys,” I overheard a camper remaking “This is the best barbecue picnic ever,” at last evening’s cookout.  Again, Sara’s pix captured the mood.

In a camp of about 150 boys, 140 of them participated in STEALTH after the picnic last evening.  The rules take 30 minutes to explain, but the general idea is similar to Capture-the-flag, but in the deep woods surrounding camp.

OK, you are up to date and here we go for the best day of the summer for many campers.  It is a beautiful morning to boot.  More later on today.  At bottom is the schedule.
