What is your name?
Josh Paré
How many years have you been at Kingswood / what was your first year at Kingswood?
My first year was 2021 as a camp counselor!
How would you describe your role at Kingswood?
My role at Kingswood is to ensure every camper is having the best possible summer by providing the most entertaining and fun activities possible!
What is your favorite camp memory?
My favorite camp memory is the Fourth of July cabin relay race! Seeing all of the campers involved in one activity where they had to work as a team was a blast!
What makes Kingswood special to you?
Though I’ve been at Kingswood for only a year, what makes Kingswood special to me is the sense of family and togetherness spewing out of every camper and staff member. No matter the situation; if you lose at a game or you can’t figure out how to do something or you’re just not having a great day, the people around you have your back!
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place at Kingswood is pines field when the sun goes down. The view of the stars is incredible, especially being from bigger cities my entire life. Being able to stargaze while listening to the loon calls is serene.
What is your favorite A-block offering?
My favorite A block offering is open archery range (for those that are certified). I love putting arrows down range and competing with those around me in the meantime.
If you were a camper, how would you spend your B-Block?
As a camper I would spend my B-block the same way most campers do, tubing on the lake!
What is your favorite Kingswood hike / trip?
I really enjoyed the Piermont overnight hike, despite the wet conditions!
What is your favorite Kingswood special event (could be an annual event or a truly special,
we only did it once, event)?
My favorite Kingswood event was the cabin carnival. Seeing the campers come up with incredible games to play was an awesome day.
