Director’s Report

Cedar Waxwings

I used to label today’s theme “On a Post Office Wall Near You,” in that appearing in most photos were boys hard to find with my camera or simply unlucky not to be present where I was sleuthing for pix.  The fix  is to find kids at council fire gatherings or in the dining room, where they cannot avoid me.

Yesterday, the cedar waxwing birds made their annual pilgrimage to the elderberry bush outside of Jay & Kiera’s cabin.  The minute the red berries ripen, the birds magically appear to devour the entire crop.  I trust the analogy is not lost on those of you pining for a camper sighting.

Kiera took this nature book quality photo of the cedar waxwing feast.

The rest of these birds appeared at council fire last evening.
