With the arrival of August came the grim reminder that only a couple weeks remained in Summer 2016. How fast it flew by.

The girls from Wa-Klo came up for a cookout/dance. Spany showed up in appropriate attire, to the amusement of our guests.

The Arrows appeared to have the competition well in hand by Wednesday evening’s Songfest. Here a few neutrals take their seats before the performance.

While some might think such somber faces reveals “bad camp,” I love this very specific moment when the two teams first enter the dining room. We neutrals insist on total silence and the looks on those boys’ eyes to me are precious indicators of the so-called human side of life.

At this moment, the Bows trailed in the score by a lot. But, the next day, they won all three Apache Relays, worth 25 point each, and snatched the title away from the Arrows.

B & A ended Thursday afternoon. By nightfall, we were on to to other things. The concert/raffle event was held on Pines Field on the new stage called “The Theater in the Pines” …

constructed by Dan, who, rightfully, sang the first song (extremely well) at our spanking new venue.

And, by the time that Ian had finished his piano solo and Will had led a nice guitar jam with the pros, Bow & Arrow outcomes had completely given way to the sad feeling that summer 2015 truly was nearly over.
We will put together a “Finishing Touches” Blues Buster soon, in a future report.
