I am so glad some guy named Frisbee invented the flying disc. Kingswood would not be the same electric place without them. As I am fond of saying, “There seldom is a waking moment at Kingswood when a Frisbee is not in the air.”
The first few photos below show recipients of the 2013 “Three Year Frisbee,” which goes to everyone who has been at Kingswood for three summers or more. Klaus says he has all 17 of his Kingswood prizes. Quite a few of you boys are eligible to join the club in 2014 and, who knows what next year’s design will be?
Frisbee golf is such a popular game at camp that we added nine more holes to our course, now up to 27 challenges. During second session, we continued to iron out some of the kinks in the so-called “Lethal Nine.” Some guys were complaining that the holes are not that difficult. Maybe so, but you better play all nine before bragging too much. That last photo reveals the truly cruel hole number nine, a relatively long toss across the sailboat marina to a post at water’s edge. Yes, Taylor had to be the spotter in the water to retrieve several errant tosses!
