Growing up in the suburbs of Washington D.C. in the 1980s (before ESPN), our family always used to watch the local CBS news, and we used to love the sportscaster Glenn Brenner. One of his gimmicks was to have a “mystery picker” choose the winners of the football games happening over the weekend. Though he had many celebrities, ranging from CBS news anchors Connie Chung and Dan Rather to the elephant at the National Zoo, the best prognosticator was a local nun, who, with absolutely no football knowledge, bested all the professional analysts and former players.

At Kingswood, we have a whole host of staff members who think they are know-it-alls when it comes to professional sports. Indeed, one popular evening sponsorship is “Hot Takes” – a round table discussion about all things sports – draft analysis, past and potential trades, overrated (or underrated) players and teams, etc. Certainly there are a lot of people in our camp community who invest inordinate amounts of time researching and following professional sports….but are they the best at simply picking which team will win on any given weekend?

Even though the Vikings lost last week, Minnesota is Mac’s first round choice. Smart decision? Only time will tell!
Today we invite you participate in our NFL elimination pool.

Nunes has won multiple Kingswood football tournaments. Can Spanky beat him in the Elimination Pool?

Most of these guys have their picks in…but there’s still time for everyone to cast their vote!

Will Christian still be this excited at the end of the season? Will he be the last one standing?
