Think of all that luscious grass on the soccer field, home of the world-renowned Kingswood Touch Football Tournament.Crosbee should be in the Olympic Games.Normal soccer is played on Pemi Day. We must use “normal” here since we have so many other games with soccer balls…like Soccer-golf …and Gator BallFrisbee golf is an excursion around camp.Ditto for Cayman golf.Baseball on Pemi Day. The diamond looked great that day.Cricket has become a camp favorite for all ages. Evasion is a good reason to come back to camp.So is Stealth…and what about Quidditch? (Sorry if I got the spelling wrong.)And, who does not enjoy bombarding his counselors with foam balls?or slam dunking on Pines Field?Beach Tennis was a new, and very popular game, last summer.So was Coneball– “Three-toed Slothball to some,” much harder to play than it looks. Correct, Bryce?As a child, I would have loved Fukem — one-on-one football/volleyball. Graham was exceptionally good at this game.But, it would not be a green summer were it not for the outdoor jams…Packerball…“jailbreaks” of all kinds…and Capture the Cumbersome Object.The green grass of summer is a joy for all of us to anticipate.
