Director’s Report

Singing in the Rain

Yesterday and today, both, are spitting rain days with widely scattered moderate showers.  Nothing has been cancelled  and I admit to being thrilled with everyone’s fabulous attitude regarding operating as usual despite a tad of minor inconvenience now and again.  Temperatures have something to do with it as just seconds ago I passed y by the waterfront area where I witnessed at least twenty craft on the lake.  “This is easily doable,” yelled one of the counselors to me when I referenced the weather conditions.  New England is the home to American camping for a very good reason — its temperate summer meteorological inheritance.  The photos that follow are some of my favorites of the summer — happy  boys on a rainy day!

Boys will happily shoot arrows and bullets in any conditions.

Boys are passing from one clinic period to the next.

Four instructors for six boys!

No pose here, these guys were really working out hard.

I could hear the “Kiss it” shouts clear across the property.

The golf clinic broke out into an air band version of “Singing in the Rain,” in this, my favorite photo of the summer to date. Great camp!
