As my dad was fond of saying, “It ain’t no big thing,” which was his take on just about everything. To him, the glass was always at least half full, if not overflowing. A great life’s approach, and applicable to lots of things that happen here. We are in scorcher mode here at Kingswood, and the following pix reveal our basic strategy.
The Kingswood waterfront was the place to be over the past few days. No exactly rocket science to schedule more activities on the water.
No body griped at his morning waterfront clinic.
The breezes were light, but that often is fine for beginning sailors.
Learning to maintain control on a windsurfer is no easy task…
and juniors were practicing rollovers at the kayak clinic…
to the sheer delight of every boy I watched.
Rob and I drove out to our three favorite water holes during the morning, to confirm that conditions were good for afternoon swim trips.
Sorry dad, but “pre-inspections” ARE a big thing and we determined that the heavy rains of last week still had some lingering effects on a couple of our best spots. “Off limits today, boys.”
That afternoon, Sara was on hand at Busted Rock to witness our carefully supervised waterfall rides…
and captured many shots as good as this one of Sam in the whirlpool. There still is time for you to engage her professional services: swipfler@gmail.com
A Block featured a lazy float trip on the lake…
that was totally painless to all participants.
General swim at 4:30 enjoyed good attendance …
especially off the tower…
where I, the lousy family photographer, got a few good pix.
Come on, daughter Sara, this ain’t so bad, eh?
