Last summer we were able to claim that we had over 800 years of cumulative Kingswood experience on our staff. This summer we will surely top that figure since we are welcoming many Kingswood veterans to the staff as first time counselors. It speaks volumes about the strength of our community that virtually every counselor on staff this summer will either be a returning counselor or former camper and graduate of our CIT program. So, continuing last week’s report, we congratulate and welcome several more guys who will be joining us as counselors this summer. Here is how they looked several years ago, as young campers. Enjoy!
Back in ’08 Hugh was brave enough to try a pork hock at the 4th of July parade! This summer you’ll find him teaching tennis, sailing, hiking, and much more.Maybe Hugh will be the one smashing the eggs at the Egg Drop this summer…We haven’t seen Wiley for a few summers, but he is thrilled to be joining us in 2014!You’ll certainly see Wiley on the trail this summer- he’s one of the elite few who have achieved the “Presidential” level of the Varsity Hiking Club by completing all hikes on the board!Tyler has been at Kingswood since he was 9 years old.He’s excited to be back as a counselor. Expect to see him coaching soccer, on the waterfront, and on the trails!2014 will mark the 9th summer that Griffin (bottom right) will be at Kingswood!Pictured here at the Busted Rock swimming hole, expect to find Griffin around the water a lot as well as on the football field!Frank (on left) has never missed a summer since 2007.Expect to find Frank instructing fishing, on fishing trips, and hikes, around the waterfront, everywhere else!And of course, there will be plenty of us old guys around lending our experience too!
