Here we go with the first of two second session reviews.
There was something about the opening introductions of second session that gave all of us a good vibration…Perhaps it was the nice balance between young and old…or returning versus new campers…“Can we do it again?” asked the likes of Klaus, here adopting his new announcer’s position at PGB hoops, away from the maddening crowds!Yep, same feeling after all the hoopla under the lights.It was indeed a younger group, even though Sebastian had a better swing than just about any camper…and Liam saved the camp from all those bad guys.Of course, the weather remained sensational.I recall looking forward to visiting clinics, all of which were going swimmingly well, pardon the pun.I noticed there was tremendous interest in World Cup soccer during evening sponsorships. It was offered many times.And, the fishermen, too, came back from Indian Pond with some huge catches.Egg Drop came early in the session…A few more contraptions made it into the Weird rounds…while, incredibly, a simple paint can stuffed with some rags was the lone surviving act. Even Mr. Weird was impressed, for once!The Guides put on a bit before Stealth…which had both good attendance and…some clever attire.Cabin Carnival was held on Pines Field…under the lights…and the back rubbers, as usual, earned the most red chips.
