A Laughing Start

I really pray for good weather for the opening days of camp sessions.  Kingswood must not have too many sinners as the past several days have been spectacular.  I had to remind boys at breakfast this morning to wear sun block, drink plenty of fluids and wash those hands at each meal.  “Do these three … Read more

Money Shots

Yesterday saw the first-ever compound bow and arrow clinic run by maintenance man, Dan Bixby.  I caught a few “money shots” at that venue plus a few more good ones at council fire.  “Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and again,” offered Sara, who then pushed a few of her professional quality pics … Read more

Gravy Days

Watching a clock tick for one minute can be tedious.  But, camp time has a way of flying at warp speed and we now are reminding boys about their “last chances” for this and that as well as “gather your gear.” The first two pix today highlight our two German campers, Fritz and Freddy.  Of … Read more

From 3 PM Onwards

They say that life begins at 40.  The camp counterpart is that the real day commences after rest hour.  Don’t get me wrong on this:  Boys enjoy those morning clinics and they have had two good meals by 3 PM.  However, a major distinction for Kingswood is that as the day wears on, boys increasingly … Read more

Weekend Review

We had an enjoyable weekend, pell-mell with activity some of the time and laid back at other moments.  Here is a brief summary of the action:

Festique

I am sure there are some kids in America who had as much fun yesterday as did the Kingswood group, but I am 100% certain that no body had MORE fun than our boys.  Be the witness: Lastly, John Sullivan led the group in a mighty rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, to end the … Read more
