How many years have you been at camp?

2023 will be my third summer. 1998, 2022, and 2023. Those last two years, I’ve been fortunate to be joined by my wife, Amanda, and my kids, Elizabeth (13) and James (9).

What activities do you lead at camp?

Wake surfing. Mr. Wiff’s Ferrari Boat Tours. Hype man for National Gooey Cake Day.

What do you do in the camp “off season?” (e.g. job, school)

Good question! My wife wonders the same thing. I’m a semi-retired healthcare consultant/man of leisure.

If you were program director and could bring one new activity to camp (or make one change to the way camp runs), what would it be?

WING surfing – it’s like wind surfing but you use a sail that looks like a Bat Wing

If you could build any new structure at camp, what would it be, where would it be, and what would it be named?

I’d build a Wake Surf patio with a gazebo, wet bar, refrigerator and equipment storage to replace the boulder zone at the entrance to the Ferrari boat dock. Wait! We can name structures at camp! With like an interesting name! Not just Main this or Purpose that. We would have a contest to name my structure. With clever entries and bits and songs!

Rock n Roll by Unfinished BUSINESS. Rip Tide by Vance Joy. Anything by Seth Yacavone.

What is the funniest skit or bit you’ve ever seen at camp?

Klaus leading a camp wide discussion of Spoon, Knife, or Fork – What is Best?

What’s something you’ve never done at camp (that might surprise others)? (Example: never played frisbee golf, never been to Big Eddy, etc.)

I’ve never wake boarded or water skiied and I don’t know how.

What are you most excited to do at camp this summer?

Introduce wakesurfing to new campers and help those campers with experience learn their first tricks.
