How many years have you been at camp?

This will be my 8th year of camp

What do you do in the camp “off season?” (e.g. job, school)

Right now I’m attending Oberlin College and am incredibly busy. I play on the school’s Ultimate Frisbee team, ranked #12 in the country and we are currently vying for a spot at Nationals in May. After school gets out and before camp begins, I’ll be working in the US Senate under the Secretary for the Majority. I also write a lot of poetry in my free time.

What are you most excited to do at camp this summer?

I’m really excited to see a lot of the campers that were in my cabins last year and catch up with them. Talking to returning campers on the first day of camp is such a fun time because you can tell they’ve been counting down the days until camp starts for a while. Watching as their excitement to be here rubs off on new campers is also a really unique experience. Activities-wise, I’m really excited to lead and lifeguard trips to the local swimming holes, Busted Rock and Big Eddy. As late July and August give New Hampshire a bunch of 90°+ days, there is just nothing like diving into the “refreshing” mountain water.

This is my 7th summer

What activities do you lead at camp?

I help lead tennis clinics and soccer clinics, but I look forward to being helpful wherever I can, either on the water or on a playing field!

What do you do in the camp “off season?” (e.g. job, school)

I’m currently in college but work part-time as an RBT

If you were program director and could bring one new activity to camp (or make one change to the way camp runs), what would it be?

See if they would start a beekeeping clinic! My family and I are beekeepers and take care of over a million bees in our beeyard at home.

Ukulele, frisbee, and fishing

If you were program director and could bring one new activity to camp (or make one change to the way camp runs), what would it be?

Bring back the birthday wheel!

If you could build any new structure at camp, what would it be, where would it be, and what would it be named?

Permanently implement the slip n slide into Watermelon Flats and have it feed into the lake!

This summer will be my 4th year

What activities do you lead at camp?

Frisbee clinics, fitness clinics, guitar clinics

What do you do in the camp “off season?” (e.g. job, school)

I am a college student, majoring in psychology and minoring in sports management. I also work at my university’s rec center as a personal trainer and am the school’s outdoor trip coordinator. I am on the track team at my school and play other sports (ultimate, basketball, both golf and disc golf) for fun.

What songs make you think of camp (and why)?

Reminiscing – Swampy showed me this song, and now when I’m away from camp it makes me think back on all the good memories and personal friendships that I’ve built at camp

What are you most excited to do at camp this summer?

Go on some really cool hiking trips this summer and explore more of the Piermont area
