Yeah, well, last night was the seventh annual Kakophony of Kingswood Kounselors Kreating Kulinary Konkoktions for Kampers extravaganza, more commonly known as Guest Chef night.
There is always a “mystery bucket” creation that Bill, Chelsea and Taylor must use: duck breast, redfish, chicken, prosciutto, tasso ham, mango, brussel sprouts, coffee grounds, veggie chips and ice cream cones were this year’s ingredients. That’s Bill, in top hat, frame two below. Can you figure out the recipes?
GF goulash, Asian chicken stir fry, Kosher beef brisket, chicken liver balls, potato bombs, mussels, buffalo chicken dip and Adam’s homemade ginger beer and hibiscus juice rounded off the main course menu.
While clearly an adult-driven event, we can count on the boys to enthusiastically participate. I polled several campers, known for their delicate food tastes, and was informed that several of the dishes had mightily surprised. We are an all-purpose camp here at Kingswood!
Bill led the entire group on a post-meal walk to help settle stomachs before the citrus custard pie, french pancakes and crispy rice cereal were hauled out for dessert.
Kudos to Charmion and her entire kitchen staff for both putting on this show as well as putting up with hordes of amateur kooking kreatures throughout the khotic day.
