What is your favorite camp memory?

This is a tough one. This past summer, I got to perform Musical Youth’s “Pass the Dutchie” as part of an ensemble with the best musicians on campus. Others and I had been dreaming of making it work for years, and needless to say it was a joy to realize this dream. Equally as gratifying was MCing Egg drop with Jacob Dalton this past summer.

What makes Kingswood special to you?

The culture, which is immensely complex and hard to define, but I would say that every Kingswood staff member possesses a baseline level of intelligence, humor, and intentionality that separates them from just any old camp counselor. I also believe that Kingswood has nailed institutional memory, through counsel fire stories, collages, etc. that serve to remind us of the rich history that the camp has created in its 37 summers (under the ownership of the Wipflers)
