Director’s Report

Noah’s Ark

Well, I got my wish on the much-needed rain!  There are flooding conditions all over New England, but just some large puddles on the Kingswood grounds.  Much of the water will be absorbed, I am confident.  This day already has dawned favorably as we have a steady northwest breeze, a sure indicator of a clearing trend.  This is a “drying day,” and plenty of soaking gear will be hanging from every clothes line and many tree limbs as well.  I was thrilled to see 25 boys sign up to hike Mt. Moosilauke today and suppose there is some pent-up energy carrying over from yesterday’s sequestration.  I requested  some good pix to include in this space tomorrow.

Pictured below are the table assignments for week one.  Table Tsar Klaus makes sure that a random drawing creates the combinations, just one of many devices we employ to help boys get fully acquainted with one another.  Oh, the photos were taken at breakfast, so don’t be calling me about your son not having a good time at camp.  As one lad allowed, “I love camp; it is morning that I hate.”
